SWIFT AUDUBON BINOCULAR COLLECTION

Swift Audubon 820 and 820ED

Designed based on specifications gleaned from a Swift survey of the world's leading ornithologist, the Swift Audubon binoculars have become famous worldwide for superior performance and dependability.

Equipped with a 5-lens ocular system, BaK4 prisms, fully multi-coated optics and pop and lock eyecups adding comfort for eyeglass wearers. The Swift Audubon produces crisp, high definition images to the outer edges of the wide field and close focuses to 12 ft. The rubber-coated body is made of magnesium to reduce weight and is sealed to make the binoculars waterproof.

Added to the patented features and world-renowned optical formula of the original 820 Swift Audubon is an ED (Extra low Dispersion) lens. ED Glass provides exceptional, precise color definition, while promoting optimum resolution and sharpest possible images. It even further expands the viewing capabilities of fine optics. Swift Audubon 828

Swift has added a roof prism version of the world famous Audubon binocular. Using the same renowned 8.5x, 44 optical formula, BaK4 prisms, twist-up eyecups, and lightweight rubber armored body as the porro prism Audubons. The 828's offer fully multi-coated optics for high resolution viewing, close focus to under 9 ft., and a comfortable 19mm eye relief. The latest model incorporates a right diopter adjustment operated from the center focus knob that makes focusing easier and faster.

center focus feature

Combination Center Focus/Diopter Adjustment

For a more convenient quick focus, the 828 Swift Audubon features a center focus knob which controls the right eye diopter adjustment. To use, simply grasp the top of the center focus knob and pull up, this is called the Diopter ring. The diopter ring will then turn independently to adjust to the left eyepiece only.

Once you have set your diopter press down on the diopter ring to lock the diopter setting in place. When locked the center focus knob will continued to work as a complete unit.
